Merry Christmas or Feliz Naughty Ducks, Whichever You Prefer

We spent yesterday at Nani's. Grammy, Aunt Linda, and Uncle Gary are staying there for about a week and my brothers and sister came over also. The kids had a lot of playing with cousins and opening presents and sledding down the side hill. Rosa was an angel in the narration of Gospel and Owen brought up the gifts at church yesterday. Heading back to Nani's to pick up the little ones was a little dicey, since it was freezing rain and icy. Hey, I'm a poet and didn't even know it.

Matthew and Owen were up at 6am this morning, but did sit quietly in the living room until everyone else woke up, shortly after 7. They really had fun with their stockings and mostly ate chocolate and candy canes for breakfast. Before opening presents I made sure they had fruit salad to counteract some of the junk. Owen thought he got the best presents and was bragging to Matthew and Rosa that his presents were cooler. They didn't agree with him and thought their presents were best.

Eddie wore this wolf cape all day. He's still wearing it as I type.

Liam loves his chainsaw.

Teresa couldn't decide between her princess tent or Barbie head. The Barbie head was her Santa gift. She's also partial to the eyeshadow that was in her stocking.

Oliver likes the log building set I got for free from one of the preschool assistants.

Owen is so excited to have a video camera. He also loves the "lago str wrs vidogam" he wrote Santa for almost every day since Thanksgiving. He bought the Lego Star Wars Wii game with his birthday money but somewhere about 4 months ago the disc came up missing. We've checked inside the sofa, heater vents, under the TV cabinet. I have no idea where it went, so Santa brought a new one and Owen is thrilled.

Rosa likes her voice activated diary. Let me just say it is a pain in the a$$ to program. The date is still set as "December, 22, 2002" after many, many tries to correct it. Maybe 1/1/10 will be easier for it to understand so we'll try again next week.

Matthew likes everything. He has been playing the new Mario World game all day, so that might be his favorite. His Christmas braces cost the most though, so they are my favorite. It was an early present, as he got them put on, along with an expander, on the 22nd. Notice the lovely green and red rubber bands to coordinate with Christmas. So festive.
