Tonight was our adoption agency's, Catholic Charities West Michigan, charity softball game. Area priests against local TV and newspaper personalities. Not sure who the winner was since we left around the 6th inning. The kids had more fun pounding on their balloons than watching the game and that was getting irritating. We went swimming at Nani's this afternoon and left Liam and Eddie there...it so would not have been enjoyable with them in tow. I wasn't sure what activities would be at the ballpark except our caseworker told us there would be face-painting. Mostly I was taking at least one someone somewhere, so I didn't watch much of the game either. Besides the face (or arm) painting, the kids were able to dip their own Krispy Kreme donut in chocolate and sprinkles, lots of coloring things, decorate a bag, and a ton of mascots walking around-Griff (local minor league hockey), Crash (local minor league baseball), the Red Robin, some bee for Old Country Buffet, and a few more. We got free parking, free admission, and free hot dogs, chips, and drink for each of us. We also scored some free kid buffet coupons for Fire Mountain. But then everyone was still hungry so we had to pay for all the popcorn, chips, and french fries. Maybe we won the raffle.
On Rosa's bone healing front, everything is fine and she can do normal things. She says she's gonna stay away from climbing trees, but was super excited to be able to ride her bike and do the monkey bars and trampoline again. Her first time back on her bike she crashed into the basketball net. I am afraid it is only a matter of time before we are back in the ER.
